Bible Sunday – Sunday 26th October – Matthew 24:30-35

Need to Know
1. Knowing that Muslims keep their Qur’an on the highest surface of their room, why can Christians put their Bibles anywhere, even on the floor?
2. Knowing that our Bible is a library of books, do we not venture into parts of the library which daunt us?
3. Knowing that ‘my words will not pass away’, how do you imagine temporal words become everlasting?

Need to Challenge
1. Have we become childlike always consuming the Bible in bite sized portions?
2. Perhaps it’s worth reminding ourselves and others how to pray verses from the Bible?
3. Worth while sharing our ‘Top 5’ Bible verses which offer us a challenge?

Need to Comfort
1. In the fig tree comparison, what we know about how plants behave points us to matters of faith. Worth looking at other Biblical nature/faith comparisons?
2. Many people testify that in great sadness, they experience Jesus to be ‘…near, at the very gates.’
3. Worth while sharing our ‘Top 5’ Bible verses which offer comfort?
